Still stuck? Ask us
Do I need a shaker?

Usually, no. Most Root Elixirs drinks are built directly in an ice-filled glass: add the spirit or zero-proof base, top with a chilled can, and stir gently. The one exception here is Tropical Silk—shake the coconut cream by itself, then top with the sparkling mixer.

How much spirit should I add?

Start with 1.5 ounces for one generous drink. Use 1 ounce for a lighter pour. Some featured recipes add 0.25–0.5 ounce of a second liqueur for extra depth, but the simple spirit + Root combination is designed to work beautifully on its own.

Can I make a zero-proof drink with Root Elixirs?

Yes. Root Elixirs mixers are non-alcoholic and designed to feel balanced over ice without a spirit. Drink them simply with citrus, or add chilled tea, coconut water, herbs, or a salted rim for another layer.

Do I need to add sparkling water?

No. Root Elixirs is already sparkling, so extra soda water is not required. Add a small splash only when you want a longer, lighter drink.

Which spirit goes with each flavor?

Pineapple Passionfruit naturally loves rum. Strawberry Lavender works with vodka or gin. Grapefruit JalapeƱo is built for tequila or mezcal. Pomegranate Citrus is flexible with gin, vodka, tequila, or bourbon. Start with what you already like—the mixers are made to do the balancing.

How many drinks does one can make?

One 200ml can makes one generous highball-style drink, which is how the recipes on this page are written. It can also stretch to two smaller tasting or spritz-size pours.

How do I mix for a group without losing the bubbles?

Prep the spirit, tea, citrus, and garnishes ahead of time and chill everything. Do not open or mix in Root Elixirs hours early. Add the cold cans just before guests arrive—or let guests top their own glasses—to preserve the carbonation.

How much ice should I use?

Fill the glass generously. More cold ice chills the drink quickly and usually melts more slowly than a few small cubes, which helps protect the flavor and bubbles.

Should I refrigerate the cans?

Chill before serving for the best flavor and sparkle. Unopened cans can be stored according to the package directions; after opening, refrigerate any remainder and enjoy it within a few days.
